Corky and his brother Patch knew one life -- the private breeding operation where they were two piglets among possibly hundreds, their mother had given birth to. They lived along side many other pigs, all surviving on what was provided to them. The pigs were viewed as possessions, same as lawn furniture. But unlike lawn furniture, they needed attention and care, all of which was lacking greatly. Some days there was food, many days there was not. Water was dirty and shelter was nonexistent. In their short lives, Corky and Patch have been hungry, filthy and exposed to all kinds of inclement weather. But it didn't matter, their destiny was determined before they were born. Corky is such a gentle soul. Thankfully, we were able to get these sweet young pigs safely to our Sanctuary where they will live out their lives, happily ever after!
