Patch and his brother Corky knew one life -- the private breeding operation where they were two piglets among possibly hundreds, their mother had given birth to. They lived alongside many other pigs, all surviving on what was provided to them. The pigs were viewed as possessions, same as lawn furniture. But unlike lawn furniture, they needed attention and care, all of which was lacking greatly. Some days there was food, many days there was not. Water was dirty and shelter was nonexistent. In their short lives, Patch and Corky have been hungry, filthy and exposed to all kinds of inclement weather. But it didn't matter, their destiny was determined before they were born.
We are so happy that we were able to rescue them from a horrific life. As you can see, Patch’s favorite pastime is mealtime! It is amazing how happy they are to have a feeding schedule that is ALWAYS on time! For Patch and Corky…It’s a Wonderful Life!
